I’ve always believed that the college admissions journey should feel exciting—not overwhelming (and maybe even a little fun along the way). As a college consultant, I take a student-centered approach, working closely with each student to understand who they are, what makes them tick, and where they truly want to go. Together, we build a clear, step-by-step plan so they can move forward with confidence—and maybe even enjoy the process a bit, too.  College Connectors is a team of experienced professionals who genuinely enjoy getting to know students as individuals, rather than simply pushing them through a process.  This business approach is what attracted me to work with this great team.

Going through the admissions process with my own two children gave me a deeply personal perspective. I’ve been on the parent’s side of the table—the late-night conversations, the big decisions, the moments of stress and celebration—so I understand what families are really experiencing. That perspective helps me support both students and parents in a way that’s not just strategic, but also calm, encouraging, and grounded.

With over 38 years of experience in college admissions (yes, I’ve seen just about everything!), including 8 years as a dean of admissions at Rochester Institute of Technology along with many years in independent consulting, I bring both expertise and a genuine love for this work. Building relationships is at the heart of what I do—I take the time to really get to know my students so they feel comfortable, confident, and ready to tell their story. I’m often described as approachable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy, and I believe a little humor and lightheartedness can go a long way in making this process feel less stressful.

I live in upstate New York with my husband. When I’m not working with students, you can usually find me cooking up something new, traveling, painting, or trying out new coffee shops. Most of all, I love spending time with family and friends—the same balance I always encourage my students to find in their own lives.

Favorite thing about College Connectors

When you look at our years of experience in the field, we have hundreds of years between all of us.  So, the experience gives us the ability to collaborate and work together when we need to lean on one another.  However, the most important part of our working group is how we are connected by the same philosophy of being student centered.  This is very important in this line of work.

Favorite place to work

I love a good coffee shop, so I am always trying new places to work and enjoy sharing work space with others.  My “go to drink” is definitely a hot latte which you can find me drinking all times of the year.  I also have a great home office space surrounded by books and Looney Tunes art!  Taz is my favorite one.

Pastimes

Traveling across the country, visiting Ireland, Portugal, Italy and Greece.  I also enjoy cooking, baking and acrylic painting with hopes to take some watercolor painting lessons soon.
